West African Students’ union President (WASU) comr. Pillah Romans Who have been Against the backdrop of incessant hike in the price of Cement across the west African countries. The union President who is in a serious battle with Cement industries, express his anger as some Youths plots by the powers to disorganize the press conference in order to set up task committee to monitor cement price, WASU President Comr.Pillah Romans Stressing that some helpless youths sponsored are collecting negligible pay to disrupt the press conference which is supposed to hold in Accra, Ghana.
Sunnaija gathered that WASU President is currently on a presidential tour across the West African countries, and some other African countries, He is also working on a unified Scholarship opportunity for the students of the sub region through ECOWAS.

WASU President Comr. Pillah Romans noted that the country has an abundance of limestone which should count as a comparative cost advantage in the production of cement as well as the price. The Union kicks and give 30 days Ultimatum to fix the price at the rate of 1,800 Naira, while stating this WASU President Comr.pillah Romans said Nigeria could no longer afford the increase in the price of cement as the country is barely recovering from the adverse effects of the coronavirus pandemic.
Comr.Romans added that the recent price hike places unnecessary burden on the masses, stressing that there should be stability in the prices of essential commodities like cement as it is an integral commodity in the development of infrastructures in developing nations like Nigeria and other West African countries.
